I have a similar setup to yours except I don't forward the mail you do
for that exact reason.

I administer most of my box via SSH and Samba, from a WinXP machine.
Spam and notifications both arrive in my inbox via Thunderbird, and I
can manually save false negatives to a path on the Debian box and run
sa-learn. I'd like to automate this somehow, but haven't figured out an
easy way yet.

Another issue I have, which is sort of related, is that for SA to learn
effectively, my impression is that it needs loads and loads of ham as
well as spam. I could easily save lots of non-spam and run sa-learn on
that bit, but it seems dumb to use spam that SA has already blocked for
the spam part. And since SA fails to filter only around 1-2% of the spam
I get, it really doesn't seem that much of a problem. But if it was,
what would the solution be, I wonder?

Achton
