I installed pax on my Debian machine via apt-get and
2.2.1-rc1 does not recognize that it is installed.

# apt-cache policy pax
pax:
  Installed: 1:1.5-15

# which pax
/usr/bin/pax

# amavisd-new debug
No $pax, not using it
