Yes, you are missing 8+ months of development in amavisd-new.

> The email is injected by postfix into 127.0.0.1 for amavis
> smtp-amavis unix - - n - 5 lmtp
> -o smtp_data_done_timeout=1200
> -o smtp_send_xforward_command=yes
> -o disable_dns_lookup=yes

The 2.x accepts XFORWARD information from Postfix
and shows the original SMTP client's IP address in the main log entry
(the 2.2.1 will be available in few days).
