Did you replace 'nameserver localhost' with 'nameserver 127.0.0.1' as
I mentioned? I have read that spamassassin will use the first
entry in resolv.conf for RBL checks and that the code is not as
sophisticated as it is in other parts of the program. It might help
it out if it did not have to figure out what IP address 'localhost'
is. I could be wrong but I believe "rsl" is simply one of the many sites
that offer RBL services and it is possible that spamassassin ran out
of time performing the other RBL checks and simply reported on the
site(s) it did not have time to check or that did not reply in the given
amount of time. SpamAssassin does not allow itself a great deal of
time to perform RBL checks. This is why a very responsive DNS server
helps out considerably. I would guess it is normal for some of the RBL
servers to be less responsive at certain load levels and spamassassin
simply won't wait for these.
