The file in quarantine is a copy of the email message. It is a text file
you can safely view with standard unix tools:
more /var/virusmails/virus-20041222-161929-02148-08

If you wish to extract the attachment from the message in quarantine, you
will need to use an appropriate tool for that, such as ripmime or uudecode.
