Given training, a spam heuristics engine can take the most spammy and hammy words and apply probabilistic analysis. Furthermore, once given a basis for the analysis, the engine can continue to learn iteratively by applying both its Non-Bayesian and Bayesian rule set together to create evolving intelligence.
Using a classifier such as this drastically increases the effectiveness of Guardian Digital Secure Mail Suite. It is highly recommended that you enable and use this feature.
Before you may use the Bayesian Classifier you must configure and train it to recognize spam (unsolicited email) and ham (the opposite of spam - legitimate email). Below is a discussion of the former, and the next section is a discussion of the latter.
