Download Remote Configuration

The Guardian Digital VPN Suite allows you to package up a VPN configuration from one Security Gateway and upload it to another. This eases administration of several servers since you may create all of your profiles and issue all of your X.509 certificates from one machine and simply distribute them to other machines.

To download a Remote Configuration, click the "Download Remote Configuration" link from the module index.

Select the local/remote profile pair you wish to create a Remote Configuration for from the drop-downs. If mismatching local/remote profiles are select you will receive an error.

You will them be presented with a summary of the configuration, including a layout of the VPN topology.

• If this VPN is using Shared Key authentication you must select the key to package up from the drop-down.
• If this VPN is useing RSA Signature authentication the necessary certificates and keys will automatically be selected.

Select your download format (currently only 'Guardian Digital VPN Server Format' is available) and click "Continue."

Click "Download Remote Configuration" and save the file to your local disk. The configuration will be named after the "Remote Profile Name."
