Create an IPSec Policy

  1. Select Local Security Policy from the Administrative Tools found in the Start Menu.

  2. From the Local Security Settings right click the last option, 'IP Security Policies on Local Machine and select Create IP Security Policy' from the drop-down menu.

  3. The IP Security Policy Wizard will appear at this point; Click Next.
  4. For the name enter Windows XP Security Policy for Guardian Digital VPN.
  5. For the description enter 'IPSEC Tunnel from Windows XP Network to Guardian Digital VPN Network'.

  6. Once all the fields have been filled in click Next.
  7. Next uncheck the Activate the default response rule check-box and click Next.

  8. Make certain that the Edit properties check-box is checked and click Finish.
