- After configuring the Tunnel Endpoint the Windows XP Security
Policy window will gain focus again. From this menu select the Add
button.
- The New Rule Properties window will be displayed. From this
menu select Add again.
- The Name and Description must now be filled in.
- Name
- VPN Connection 2
- Description
- Traffic coming from the Guardian Digital VPN Network
to the Windows XP Network.
- Once the fields have been completed click Add and the Filter
Properties menu will appear.
- Fill in the fields with the following information:
- Source Address
- Select A Specific IP Subnet.
- IP Subnet
- Enter address of the network, not the IP address, routed
by the Windows XP server.
- Destination Address
- Enter the address of the network routed by the
Guardian Digital VPN.
- Mirrored
- Remove the check, if present.
- [NOTE:]For a subnet-to-ip-address configuration
change the Source Address to 'A specific IP Address' and enter in
the IP Address of the Windows XP Server.
- Click the Description tab and enter 'Filter from the Guardian
Digital VPN Network to the Windows XP Network.
- Once the information has been filled in click the Description
tab and enter in to the Description entry box ``Filter from
the Guardian Digital VPN Network to the Windows XP Network''.
- Once this is entered in click OK and then click OK again.
- From the IP Filter Lists list, choose the filter that was just
created ``Traffic coming from the Guardian Digital VPN Network
to the Windows XP Network''.
