The News Module is a useful feature for posting items of interest to be read by other users of the WebShare Manager product. Depending on how permissions are set in the Admin module, it can act as announcement center or as a simple, non-hierarchical message-board system.
In the broad sense, news items are grouped by Channels, which are user definable categorizations for individual news items. None exist by default.
News items are also broken into two broad categories: Current and Archived. Current news can be scheduled for archival later.
