Now that permissions are set the WebShare Manager users can be created and imported. Before a user can be added to the WebShare Manager system they must first be created within the EnGarde system itself. The WebShare Manager system can not create or delete users, only edit basic information for that user within the WebShare Manager system.
Create the necessary users for the system, for our sample we will create 'nick', 'ryan', 'john', 'steve', 'pete', 'alison' and 'marie'. These users are from different departments within the small business. Instructions for creating these users in EnGarde can be found in the EnGarde Secure Professional manual in the System Management section.
Once the users are created as the 'admin' user in the WebShare Manager select Admin from the navigation bar and from there select Import System Users.
The Import System Users menu will display all system users that have not yet been imported into the system.
To import users first select which users are to be imported. This is done by checking off the box in the 'Import?' column for the associated user. Next the group that the user is to become a member of must be selected. In the pull-down menu each group that exists in the WebShare Manager system can be selected.
